The prestigious culinary award recognizes the best in the restaurant industry from fine dining to casual eateries. Semifinalists are recognized for 25 award categories. New categories this year: Best New Bar, Outstanding Professional in Beverage Service and Outstanding Professional in Cocktail Service.
Alan Walter, a bartender at The Brakes Bar in Baton Rouge, was named a semifinalist in the new Outstanding Professional in Cocktail Service category. The bar is located inside Mid City’s Spoke & Hub on Government Street.
