According to officials, American Airlines flight 1478 was traveling from Charlotte, North Carolina, to Houston, Texas, on Thursday, February 13 when it diverted to the Jackson–Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport due to a possible maintenance issue.
The flight landed safely at JAN and taxied to the gate under its own power. The aircraft was taken out of service to be inspected by our maintenance team and customers will board a replacement aircraft to re-depart to IAH. We never want to disrupt our customers’ travel plans and we apologize for the inconvenience.
