By rssfeeds-admin ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Rockford Police arrested Quayshawn Whitfield, 22, for allegedly having cocaine and a taser.
On Feb. 12 Rockford Police’s Gang Unit and Intelligence Unit searched a house in the block of 6000 Park Ridge Road for a reported shots fired incident on Jan. 29.
Officers saw Whitfield coming and leaving during surveillance of the house.
Authorities found cocaine, a taser, court documents with a date for Whitfield to appear and sandwich bags.
The suspect told officers the taser belonged to his girlfriend’s friend.
Whitfield was previously convicted of delivering cannabis in 2024, according to court records.
Whitfield is charged with possession of a firearm without a FOID as well as manufacturing and delivering cocaine.
