HATTIESBURG, Miss. (WHLT) – A Mississippi woman has been sentenced for having unnatural intercourse with a dog.
According to the Mississippi Department of Corrections’ (MDOC) website, Denise Frazier, 21, was sentenced to four years in prison on January 24, 2025, after she was convicted in Forrest County.
A judge also ordered Frazier to serve five years of probation and pay $2,615.51. She is being held at the Central Mississippi Correctional Facility (CMCF) in Rankin County.
Frazier was arrested in Hattiesburg in 2024 and charged with one count of attempted unnatural intercourse and one count of unnatural intercourse. She was previously arrested in Jones County in April 2023 for unnatural intercourse and aggravated cruelty towards an animal.
According to In Defense of Animals, authorities obtained a video that showed Frazier had engaged in unnatural intercourse with a dog. They said three separate dogs appeared in multiple videos. The dogs were rescued and received veterinary care.
“This sentencing is a step toward justice, but the fight isn’t over — we are still pushing for full accountability in Jones County, where Frazier’s abuse first came to light,” said Doll Stanley, In Defense of Animals’ Justice for Animals Senior Campaigner.
