EDAA welcomes Jamie Troutman as new board president

– Jamie Troutman has been appointed president of the Economic Development Association of Alabama (EDAA) Board of Directors, officially assuming the role during the organization’s Winter Conference. She will serve a one-year term, leading EDAA’s efforts to support economic growth and development across Alabama.

Troutman, who serves as assistant director and governmental affairs at the Cullman Economic Development Agency (CEDA), has a long-standing history with EDAA. She previously held leadership positions on the EDAA Executive Committee as secretary/treasurer and vice president and has contributed to several key initiatives. her involvement includes serving as conference chair, participating in the Legislative Committee and Board of Directors, and leading the Wage & Benefit Survey Committee.

“I am honored to serve this esteemed organization and contribute to the economic growth of our great state,” said Troutman. “Alabama has experienced remarkable progress in economic development, but there is still much work to be done. As president, my focus will be on strengthening EDAA’s mission through education and legislative advocacy, ensuring our members receive the professional development, networking opportunities and legislative representation that set this organization apart.”
