Officers say they received a call around 2:30 p.m. regarding a multi-vehicle collision at the intersection of Adams and Academy avenues.

According to CHP, a GMC pickup heading westbound was stopped at the four-way stop sign on Adams and Academy avenues. In the eastbound lane, a Chevrolet pickup pulling a trailer was stopped at the same stop sign.

As both vehicles proceeded through the intersection, a tractor-trailer traveling southbound ran the stop sign, plowing into both pick-ups, CHP says.

Officers say two people were transported to the hospital for moderate to minor injuries.

Per CHP, the number two lane of southbound Academy Avenue just south of Adams Avenue will be closed until about 6 p.m. while the tractor-trailer is towed.
