Man shot, killed in early morning shooting in Jackson

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Capitol police are investigating after a man was shot and killed early Monday morning.

Bailey Martin, press secretary for the Mississippi Department of Public Safety (DPS), said officers responded to a call on Bailey Avenue near Idlewild Street around 1:20 a.m. on Monday, February 10.

Martin said officers located a deceased man with apparent gunshot wounds. No arrests have been made in this case.
