Campus cat on the loose: Here’s how Clovis Community is responding
CLOVIS, Calif. (KGPE/KSEE) – Cat traps are scattered across Clovis Community College’s campus – the college said they are trying to catch their campus cat.
According to staff, the campus’ resident orange tabby is due for a visit to the veterinarian. They say he needs a check-up, vaccines and is scheduled to be neutered.
The visit will be paid for with funds raised from the Conservation Club’s fundraiser.
Students and visitors are asked to not interfere with the traps. Those on campus are also asked to avoid leaving food out for the campus cats. Staff say it will be more difficult to lure them to the traps if there is food elsewhere; they also do not want to attract any additional wildlife.
