Pedestrian critically injured after being hit by vehicle in Jackson

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – A pedestrian was critically injured after being hit by a vehicle in Jackson.

The incident occurred at the intersection of Gallatin Street and Pascagoula Street just after 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 6.

Bailey Martin, press secretary for the Mississippi Department of Public Safety (DPS), said Capitol police found a man suffering from several injuries at the scene. He was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.

Martin said the driver of the vehicle was at the scene and was questioned by officers.
