SCOTT COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – Scott County deputies arrested a man in connection to the death of an 18-year-old.

Scott County Sheriff Mike Lee said said Adam Lee Gates, 20, of Forest, was arrested and charged with murder.

Gates is accused of killing Donald Dewayne Anderson, 18, of Forest. Lee said Anderson’s body was recovered at the end of Strong Road in June 2024 after it was discovered by a man who was picking up cans from the side of the road.

Investigators believe Gates acted alone in the case.
