Capitol police search for suspect after chase in South Jackson

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Capitol police are searching for a suspect after a chase in South Jackson.

Bailey Martin, press secretary for the Mississippi Department of Public Safety (DPS), said officers attempted to stop a vehicle just before 9:00 p.m. on Monday, February 3.

Martin said the driver failed to stop and led officers on a chase to Greenway Drive. The driver fled the scene.

The suspect is described as a Black male with dreadlocks. He was last seen wearing a dark-colored shirt and gray pants.
