Veteran and family receive mortgage-free home in Fresno

The Lennar Home was presented to the Tomshack family during a special ceremony and the project was made possible through a partnership between “Operation Finally Home”, and “Beyond The Barracks,” the organization that helps veterans and first responders find their dream homes.

“It seems like I’m living in a dream, said Esme Tomshack, Nathan’s wife. “We’re so blessed and thankful for everybody who’s been contributing to this and the people.”

“Today we’re celebrating Sgt. Tomshack and his family, and we’re giving him this home,” said Mike Miller, division president with Lennar Homes. “It’s hard to have the words to describe that, the joy and the emotion that’s going through me right now. and the pride, the pride of the team coming together.”

Nate says they became emotional realizing all their future memories would be created in the home.

“We were talking about it on the drive here,” he said. “This is going to be the house we watch our kids go to college in and our kids go to their senior prom and everything.”
