JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Agents with the Mississippi Agriculture and Livestock Theft Bureau (MALTB), with the assistance of the Chilton County Sheriff’s Office in Alabama, recovered a Piper Archer II airplane that was stolen from the Indianola Airport in Sunflower County, Mississippi.
On December 20, 2024, Sunflower County deputies took the initial report of the stolen Piper Archer II airplane. MALTB investigators were then contacted for assistance.

On January 17, 2025, a stolen Corvette was stopped by Madison police for a traffic violation. Based on information gathered from the stolen corvette, investigators said they were led to Jemison, Alabama, where they located and recovered the airplane.
