Bailey Martin, press secretary for the Mississippi Department of Public Safety (DPS), said officers attempted to stop a vehicle near Northview Drive and Meadowbrook Road just after 7:15 p.m. on Thursday, January 30.
Martin said the driver, who was identified as Kenneth Davis, 54, failed to stop and led officers on a brief chase to Eminence Row.
Davis was arrested without incident and charged with felony fleeing, possession of a stolen firearm, and convicted felon in possession of a firearm. Martin said he has multiple outstanding warrants from Michigan.
