Report: Abilene man accused of child sex crime says he was following advice from website

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – An Abilene man accused of sexually abusing a 4-year-old child said he was following advice from a website.

Brandon Nolan was booked into the Taylor County Jail last week for Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child in connection to the allegations.

Court documents state the mother of a 4-year-old child made a report to police in September 2024 that Nolan had been abusing her child for years.

This mother was able to show detectives a video where her child described him and Nolan touching each other inappropriately while they were playing a game, according to the documents.

Detectives then had this mother call Nolan to ask about the allegations, and during the call, the documents state Nolan admitted to inappropriately touching the child to make him aware of his own anatomy and that he got this advice from a website but couldn’t identify which one.

The documents also state detectives searched Nolan’s phone for evidence of the website he described but they were unable to find it.

Nolan was released from jail after posting a $50,000 bond.
