VISALIA, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Visalia’s Sequoia Mall is preparing to receive its newest addition – a Japanese-style restaurant that offers Seattle Teriyaki and made-to-order dishes, as well as a little surprise for container collectors.

Teriyaki Madness (TMAD) will be the newest addition to Visalia’s Sequoia Mall, at the corner of South Mooney Boulevard and West Caldwell Avenue. The fast-casual Asian restaurant offers bowls loaded with chicken, beef or tofu, with stir-fried veggies and the customer’s choice of white rice, brown rice, fried rice or noodles and more, according to its menu.

Officials add the food comes in take-home bowls with tight lids that are dishwasher safe and “will help build your container drawer.”

The Grand Opening Ceremony will be held on Friday at 10 a.m., and the restaurant will close at 9 p.m. Deals being offered at the ceremony include free TMAD for a year for the first five people to order in-shop and free TMAD for a month to the next 20 people to order in-shop. Teriyaki Madness also announced a location coming to Fresno’s Marketplace at El Paseo, but details surrounding its opening date are unknown at this time.
