Sheriff’s air unit used to track fleeing Exeter suspect

EXETER, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A Tulare County Sheriff’s air unit helped Exeter Police capture a fleeing suspect Friday evening, officers announced.

Police say around 10:45 p.m. they observed a vehicle driving westbound on Firebaugh Avenue conduct multiple code violations.

Officers say after an attempt to stop the vehicle, it failed to yield and a pursuit ensued toward the Tulare/Lindsay highway where it fled west. The Tulare County Sheriff’s Air Unit took over and maintained observation.

The vehicle eventually stopped at Road 140 and Avenue 232 where police say 45-year-old Brandon Makowski was taken into custody.

Investigators say Makowsi was on probation, driving on a suspended license and had an active warrant for his arrest. As a result, police say Makowski was booked with the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office.
