Rain incoming for the Big Country: Here’s what to expect

BIG COUNTRY, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – As January comes to a close, rain is on the horizon and is expected to linger for a few days, accompanied by mild temperatures. This rain is being driven by an upper-level low currently forming over the Four Corners region. Over the next few days, it will move westward before shifting toward the southeastern U.S., bringing us showers by the middle of next week.

This low-pressure system will pull moisture into the Big Country, increasing precipitation chances as we close out January. Showers are expected to begin late Tuesday afternoon and continue through Friday before sunshine makes its return. Current forecasts indicate rainfall totals could reach up to an inch in some areas, with more than an inch in other places, particularly in the southeastern parts of the Big Country.
