Man 'accidentally' shot in Kingsburg dies: police
KINGSBURG, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A 20-year-old man is dead following an early morning shooting, and authorities are actively working to figure out who pulled the trigger and why, Kingsburg police said.

Just before 2:45 a.m. Saturday, officers were dispatched to the 2300 block of Orange Street for a report of an injured person. They arrived to find the man suffering from a gunshot wound.

He was transported to an area trauma hospital but died from his injuries.

Kingsburg police interviewed people inside the home and say they believe the shooting to be accidental, but have labeled the incident as a “questionable death investigation”.

The resources of the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office were called upon and their homicide detectives took over the investigation. They continue to conduct interviews and piece together the events leading up to the shooting.
