Officers say the truck crashed into the home on the 1700 block of West Tulare Avenue just before 2:20 p.m.
According to police, no one inside the home was injured; however, the property sustained significant damage.
Images provided by the Visalia Watchdog show a busted garage door and a crumbling brick wall. There is also damage to a tree and one of the home’s windows.
Police say the truck’s occupants fled the scene before they arrived; however, they located the driver nearby and identified him as 23-year-old Alfredo Rodriguez-Zavala.
According to officers, Rodriguez-Zavala was arrested on charges of hit-and-run, driving without a license, and a misdemeanor warrant and will be booked at the Tulare County Adult Pre-Trial Facility.
