MADERA COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A man and a woman have been arrested after being found drawing in the middle of Highway 99 in Madera County, the California Highway Patrol said.
Officers say several motorists reported a vehicle parked on the right shoulder of northbound Highway 99 near Avenue 7 on Sunday night. Drivers also said two people were drawing in the middle of the roadway.
Upon arrival, CHP says they caught a 23-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman spray painting the Avenue 7 off-ramp traffic lane. Officers add the man, from Madera, was also determined to be under the influence of alcohol.

Investigators say the couple was arrested and booked at the Madera County Jail on suspicion of vandalism and DUI.
