WAKE-UP WEATHER: It’s a party …. just not for us

Tuesday, January 21st, 2025

Summary: Temperatures are still drastically cold in a few of our northern counties following a surface front that passed through this morning. A party taking place this morning but towards the Gulf coast. In fact, so much so that even a blizzard warning for portions of Texas and Louisiana. Luckily for us only those in Mills county cashed in on those snow chances , while the dry air held back and evaporated the snow before reaching the ground here. Amarillo has a rare snow squall that brought a quick 0.50″ of snow with limited visibility. Today expect clearing skies with a slight breeze and a gradual increase in temperatures with a few cold front that will drop temperatures slightly. Still expected to see some hard freezes overnight in store through the week.

Today: Mostly cloudy with skies clearing as temperatures climb slightly above freezing. High Temperature: 35° Winds: N 5-10 MPH

Tonight: Clear skies with breezy winds and a freezing cold night. Low Temperature: 25° Winds: SSW 5-15 G 25 MPH
