Fresno Mayor Jerry Dyer won’t attend Trump’s inauguration: Here’s why

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – The 47th Presidential Inauguration has been moved indoors, and with that, plans concerning the ceremony changed – including attendance.

Fresno’s Mayor Jerry Dyer previously announced he was going to attend President-elect Donald Trump’s Inauguration as the conclusion of his trip to Washington, D.C. during the U.S. Conference of Mayors Winter Meeting. However, city officials told Yourcentralvalley.com that the mayor will not be able to attend anymore.

The news comes after the forecasted intense cold weather pushed President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration indoors, to the Rotunda – officials say the change brought limited seating, therefore, Mayor Jerry Dyer won’t receive a ticket to attend.
