$20K in stolen vapes recovered in Colorado City; Suspect tracked by footprints

COLORADO CITY, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – The Colorado City Police Department recovered approximately $20,000 worth of vaping products stolen from a local store following a break-in involving three suspects.

On January 14, officers responded to a commercial burglary alarm in the 2300 block of Hickory Street, where they discovered the business had been broken into.

Surveillance footage revealed three suspects inside the store. While investigating the crime scene, officers followed shoe prints from the kicked-in door to a nearby residence.

According to the Colorado City Police Department, one of the suspects was found inside the house and admitted to the break-in. Information on the other two suspects was gathered, though their identities have not been released.

Police recovered approximately $20,000 worth of stolen merchandise, including nicotine vapes and THCA products.
