According to the school district shortly after 11:00 pm on Wednesday, Snyder ISD school board members received an email with specific threats against Snyder ISD. The Snyder Police Department was immediately contacted, and several law enforcement agencies are actively investigating the situation. Authorities do not yet have enough information or time to issue an ALL CLEAR before the start of school today.
Therefore, the superintendent has decided to cancel school for Thursday, January 16, 2025, to allow law enforcement the time needed to thoroughly investigate the threat and ensure the safety of our campuses.
We understand this decision may cause an inconvenience, but we appreciate your understanding as we take every precaution to protect our school community. We will provide additional updates as more information becomes available. Thank you for your support and cooperation.
