This plant nursery outside Clovis to close after 25 years

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Fresno County’s 25-year-old Fresno State alumni-owned nursery announced Tuesday that they will be closing their gates for good before the month is out.

Sierra View Nursery says everything from fruit trees to perennials will be on sale until their last day on Jan. 25.

The nursery can be found just east of Clovis at 6222 N. Academy Ave. They are open Monday, and Thursday through Saturday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The shop’s owners both graduated from Fresno State with degrees in Plant Science. The pair met at the university’s Horticulture Unit and collectively have 50 years of nursery experience; together they have created a 20-acre garden center, growing most of their plants in-house.
