Here’s what you were watching on EastIdahoNews.com in 2024

IDAHO FALLS — Among the myriad of breaking news stories, interviews, and other videos we produce throughout the year, it comes as no surprise that Secret Santa is what you love most.

Our YouTube analytics showed that eight out of the top 10 most-watched East Idaho News videos in 2024 were Secret Santa recipients.

This seasonal series reaches people all over the world, and we enjoy the calls and messages about the joy it’s brought into your lives.

Now that Secret Santa is over, and 2025 is almost here, here’s a look back at some of our other most-watched videos in 2024.

10. Melanie Gibb’s entire interview with Nate Eaton

Gibb was a close friend of Lori Daybell, who was sentenced to life in prison without parole in July 2023 in connection with the murder of her two children. 3. LISTEN: Elderly woman tells Dispatcher she is handcuffed and home invader is dead in 911 call.

EastIdahoNews.com reporter Andrea Olson broke this story in April about an 85-year-old woman who was handcuffed to a chair during an armed home invasion. It happened in March, but it resulted in several follow-up stories, including this video of the 911 call. It’s been viewed more than 410,000 times on YouTube.

It was a missing child story that put East Idaho News on the map in 2015. Another missing person’s case, the tragic mystery surrounding Dylan Rounds, finally came to an end in April 2024. This video was viewed on YouTube more than 687,000 times. Read the full story here.
