Daily Crime Reports: Dog reported missing from Abilene hotel room

Incidents

4500 block of South 1st Street – Burglary of Vehicle
A victim reported that an iPad had been taken from her vehicle while parked in a parking lot.

5200 block of South 1st Street – Theft of Property
A resident at a west-side hotel reported that her dog was missing from her room.

1600 block of Ambler Avenue – Theft of Property
Loss

Prevention Associates from a north-side business reported that a woman had exited the store with an unpaid box of merchandise valued at $77.67.

3700 block of North 10th Street – Assault
A report was taken for an assault from March 2024.

3000 block of Catclaw Drive – Theft of Firearm
A firearm valued at $450 was reported stolen.

700 block of ES 27th Street – Violation of Bond/Protective Order
A report regarding a bond or protective order violation was filed in South Abilene.

3100 block of Bickley Street – Criminal Mischief
Police responded to a south-side home where a woman reported damage to her property and the theft of her license plate.

600 block of Glenhaven Drive
Police responded to a north-side home in reference to a theft in progress.

1600 block of Ambler Avenue – Theft of Property
An officer was dispatched to a northside business regarding a theft. A man passed all points of sale with merchandise he had taken from the store.

4300 block of Buffalo Gap Road – Possession of a Controlled Substance
A suspect was transported to the Taylor County Jail for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Criminal Trespass.

1800 block of North 11th Street – Burglary of Habitation
A woman told police that her laptop, valued at $600, was missing from her home.

600 block of Victoria Street – Assault, Impede Breath, Family Violence
No public narrative was provided.

1300 block of Magnolia Drive – Assault Family Violence
A 65-year-old man was arrested after officers investigated an alleged assault at a north Abilene home.

100 block of Lytle Place Drive – Injury to Child/Elderly/Disabled Reckless BI
A 50-year-old was arrested for injury to the elderly.
