Summary: Temperatures today will be well above the average, anywhere from 20-25° above normal. Temperatures will approach record heat today but I think will stay just shy with compressional heating. Temperatures to close out the year will feel closer to seasonal with calmer winds and a freezing cold start to welcome out the new year. Heading into the end of the week, temperatures rebound with a brief front on Friday quickly pulling north before an even stronger front pulls in this weekend.
