A shooting on the 4300 block of Mary Lou Lane took the life of 66-year-old Denise Gray. According to police, “a domestic dispute ended with an ex-wife allegedly shot by her ex, who then shot her sister.”

Narsiso Alamilla, 47, and Baby Constancio, 49, were both found dead from apparent gunshot wounds in the front yard of a home on South 7th Street on July 16. According to police, this is a suspected murder-suicide.
3. Documents: Abilene mother, boyfriend accused of stuffing baby in tool bag after death, disposing of body days later
An Abilene mother and her boyfriend are accused of placing a deceased infant into a tool bag after her death and then disposing of her body at a lake days later. Court documents indicate that an unnamed witness reported that baby Peyton’s remains were kept inside a mobile home for 2 to 4 days before being transported to Lake Fort Phantom Hill.
Earlier this month, Heather Kennedy, 20, and Donald Schultz, 35, were both indicted for Tampering with Human Corpse in connection to the child’s death, and Schultz was also indicted for Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Registry.
2. 17 alleged drug dealers arrested after “large scale” drug bust in Abilene
It is known that illegal drugs are present on the streets of Abilene, and law enforcement is diligently working to eliminate them from the Key City. In February, a large-scale drug bust took place in Abilene, resulting in the seizure of 29 kilograms of methamphetamine, 721 grams of cocaine, 1,370 grams of fentanyl, and 60 firearms.
