Arrington back bill funding West Texas farmers amid shutdown threat

“As a result of Democrats’ reckless spending and Biden’s failed economic policies, our farmers have been walking the high wire of production agriculture with effectively no safety net,” Arrington said. “Republicans are uniting under the leadership of President Trump and Speaker Johnson to close out the disastrous four years of the Biden-Harris Administration and pave the way for a safer and more prosperous future for America,” said Arrington.

The bill comes from GOP budget proposals that would bring back the ‘Farm Bill‘ extension and provide funds to farmers. However, the ethanol provision has been dropped.

Part of the bill would provide $10 billion to farms across the United States.

There is still no new information regarding President Joe Biden signing the bill into law to prevent a partial government shutdown.

According to Arrington, this bill would clear the way for “Trump’s America First Agenda.”
