IDAHO FALLS – Traffic will temporarily be detoured between 5:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 20, as Idaho Falls invites the public to the Second Annual UTV Holiday Light Parade.
The parade begins at the Mountain America Center then makes its way along the Riverwalk to the Johns Hole Bridge before winding back to Snake River Landing. The parade map can be found here.
To ensure the safety of participants and spectators, several intersections will be temporarily closed. The closure times for each intersection will vary as the parade progresses, but all roads are expected to reopen by 8:30 p.m.
The following intersections and roadways will be impacted:
Detours will be in place, and electronic message boards will provide drivers with alternate route information. Anyone traveling within at least a mile of the parade route should expect to encounter congested traffic and pedestrians.
Drivers are asked to avoid the area if they are not attending the parade or a local business. Please use caution, follow posted signs, and be patient while navigating around the closures.
