ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – Abilene’s Parks and Recreation’s project involving two new recreation centers is almost $5 million dollars under budget.

Construction for the recreation centers is expected to be completed around January 2026 and fully furnished by March 2026. The new G.V. Daniels and Cesar Chavez Recreation Centers will be almost 10,000 square feet bigger than the old one, totaling 25,000 square feet.
