IDAHO FALLS – Idaho State Police is investigating a semi crash near Idaho Falls Saturday.
It happened at 10:38 a.m. along Interstate 15 at milepost 118 in Bonneville County, according to a news release from ISP.
Authorities say a 36-year-old man from Alberta, Canada — his name was not specified — was headed south in a 2024 Freightliner. He was in the left hand lane, lost control and hit the guardrail.
The condition of the driver and the reason he lost control is unclear, but ISP reports he was wearing his seatbelt.
The southbound lane was blocked, as of 2 p.m. The Idaho Transportation Department’s 511 Idaho website is not indicating any closures along I-15 in that area, as of 4 p.m.
