In November 2023, Haro-Gutierrez was served with an arrest warrant and charged with felony lewd conduct with a child.
In more recent court documents, police outline a second case against Haro-Gutierrez, stating that he reportedly raped the victim multiple times in 1996 when she was “approximately in the first or second grade” when she was 5 or 6 years old.
Haro-Gutierrez pleaded not guilty to the new charge on Wednesday, and is expected to appear for a preliminary hearing on Jan. 8.
In the first case, Haro-Gutierrez is expected to appear for a status conference on Jan. 14.
If convicted, he could face life in prison in both cases.
