REXBURG — ARK Security and Kids Closet Fashion are teaming up to launch an angel tree project.

Married couple Cameron Ward and Melissa Heath wanted to start an angel tree to give back after their years with tight finances.

“With having six kids, it really does take a village to raise a family, and in hard times like this, our community has been really good about bonding together and helping one another,” Ward said. “We just want to help be an outlet for that.”

Ward is a security professional with ARK Security and Heath is the owner of Kids Closet Fashion. They decided to use both companies to launch the angel tree.

The couple pitched the idea to the owner of ARK Security Steve Rowley, and he was all for it. The tree is on display at the ARK Security retail store on Main Street.

Anyone can nominate a local child in need for the angel tree. Once a child is approved, their name, gender, clothing sizes and three wishlist items are put on a tag that is placed on the tree.

“There are a lot of people looking for angel trees because they really want to help out,” Heath said. “Anybody can come in to ARK Security and take a tag and donate to that child.”

After a person has purchased gifts for a child, they can bring them to ARK Security where they, along with Kids Closet Fashion, will deliver the gifts.

“Our two companies are very big on giving back to the community,” Heath said.

To submit a nomination, email Heath at kidsclosetfashion@gmail.com. Submissions will be accepted through Dec. 6.

The angel tree is located at ARK Security at 47 East Main Street in Rexburg.
