When the trooper discovered that Olson had several warrants, Olson drove away, they said. The troopers pursued him.

During the pursuit, Olson allegedly rammed a patrol car. Troopers stopped the Mazda, but Olson ran to a nearby field.

Troopers quickly arrested Olson and booked him into Bonneville County Jail on probable cause for felony eluding, felony child endangerment, felony assault on a law enforcement officer, damage to state property, resisting and obstructing officers and felony warrants.

A 26-year-old woman and a child were passengers in the Mazda. They both sustained minor injuries. They received medical treatment and have been released.

Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office and the Pocatello Police Department assisted in the incident.

ISP continues to investigate.
