POCATELLO — Both men suspected of robbing a Pocatello credit union remain at large.

On Nov. 7, officers from the Pocatello Police Department responded to a robbery at Mountain America Credit Union in Pocatello. Nearly a week later, the department located the getaway car used in the robbery and identified one of the men it suspects took part in it.

“We have identified one person. We are not ready to release the name, and at this time, this person has not been charged,” Lt. Joshua Hancock said in a written response to EastIdahoNews.com.

One of the suspects was described as “a white male suspect … between 23 and 30 years of age, approximately six feet tall, 150 pounds, with neck tattoos, wearing a cream/white beanie, dark sunglasses, dark undershirt, dark flannel coat and dark gloves.”

This suspect allegedly entered the credit union at 1012 Yellowstone Avenue at 5:30 p.m. and demanded cash. While Hancock said he didn’t display a weapon, “the suspect had a note.”

Police did not receive reports of any injuries resulting from the robbery. Hancock didn’t reveal how much money was stolen because he said it was a safety issue for the credit union and employees.

After leaving the credit union, the suspect ran north and entered the passenger side of a silver Chrysler 200 with a Lambson Auto license plate placard from Idaho Falls. Pocatello police suspect another man of taking part in the robbery, who was seen leaving Winco Foods with the alleged robber.

Police located the vehicle in Idaho Falls on Thursday night after detectives requested Idaho Falls police officers check an address in Idaho Falls. Police aren’t releasing the address at this time.

Anyone with information on the suspected robbers can call Pocatello Police Dispatch at (208) 234-6100. Police urge anyone who might see either suspect not to approach them and to call dispatch.
