I followed a funeral director for a day. Here’s what I learned

AMMON — The EastIdahoNews.com team is highlighting different jobs in our area, and today we’re Workin’ It at Wood Funeral Home at 963 South Ammon Road in Ammon.

Courtney Bennion does it all. She is a funeral director, cremation manager and secretary.

As a teenager, I wanted to be a mortician. Mortuary science was intimidating, but Bennion showed me what happens behind the scenes – including a cremation.
