Fall Bazaar Craft Fair at Bonneville High School happening next weekend

IDAHO FALLS — Community members are invited to attend an upcoming local craft fair where dozens of vendors will be in attendance.

The Fall Bazaar Craft Fair will take place at Bonneville High School on Nov. 16 from 8:30 a.m to 4 p.m. The event is free to the public.

“For the first time ever, we are opening the doors a half hour early,” Haylie Rowberry, coordinator of the Fall Bazaar, told EastIdahoNews.com. “This year we are teaming up with Mrs. Powells and the first 100 shoppers to enter the door (the main entrance) at 8:30 a.m. will receive a free cinnamon roll. Early birds get free breakfast.”

The event will feature over 100 vendors and it draws in between 4,000 to 5,000 shoppers every year.

“The fall bazaar is a place where families and friends can come together and build traditions and memories (while) shopping for friends and families for Christmas and for themselves to decorate their homes,” Rowberry said. “They’ll find home decor, clothes, children’s toy and accessories and lots of yummy treats for the holidays.”

There will be a few new vendors this year such as home decor vendors, as well as Hi Honey, a business that makes rubber smart watch bands, and Idaho Doh Co., which makes homemade play-doh kits for kids.

There will be mini donuts, kettle corn and cinnamon rolls available to purchase inside and food trucks outside will be selling corn dogs, burgers and Mexican food. Bonneville High School’s ballroom team will also be selling treats to raise money for their dance team.

Rowberry said this event is one people have been coming to for years and she enjoys helping put it on for the community.

“I have families that have come probably for 15 to 20 years to the craft fair at Bonneville High School,” Rowberry mentioned. “For me, it’s more than a business. It’s keeping the tradition alive.”

She encourages community members to show their support for small businesses by shopping local this holiday season.

“I have a small business myself and it’s so important to me to support other small businesses,” Rowberry said. “This craft fair has been a way for me to help small businesses grow and build their business.”
