POCATELLO — If you want to see a popular drag queen perform locally, you’d better hurry, as the seats are going quickly.

Sharon Needles, the season four winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race, will perform two nights at Club Charley’s in Pocatello on Nov. 15 and 16. Doors open at 8 p.m. and the show starts at 9 p.m. Needles, who creates her own music and has performed internationally, will be performing for the first time in the Gem State.

“Sharon has really done it all. She’s been one of the top drag performers in the world … and she’s excited to come to Idaho,” said Josh Laird, who connected Needles with Club Charley’s.

Just like all drag performances at Club Charley’s, fans in attendance will have the chance to meet and interact with Needles after the show. Both nights of performance are around two-thirds sold out, according to owner Jon Peirsol.

“So (tickets) are going fast,” Peirsol said.

Peirsol also pointed out that thanks to the television screens around the bar that broadcast the live performance, “there’s not a bad seat in the house.”

Anyone who wants to attend the show can get tickets by going to Charley’s events website.

For anyone over or at the age of 21 looking to have a “safe and fun” night, Peirsol encourages them to come and attend the show.

“If you want to have a safe, fun time with a no-judgment zone and just enjoy yourself, come see the show,” Peirsol said.
