Williamson County stabbing suspect taken into custody

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — Williamson County deputies spent hours searching for a wanted man in connection with an overnight stabbing incident.

The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office said 50-year-old Roni Johnson is suspected of stabbing two people, urging people to consider him armed and dangerous.

Officials said one victim from the overnight stabbing incident has been treated for injuries and released while the other is still in the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Deputies announced at 8:15 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 2 they were searching for Johnson in the area of Duplex and Lee Road. Then, shortly before 2:30 p.m., authorities reported Johnson had been taken into custody.

No other information was immediately released.
