Fantasy football: Which 49ers to start and sit against Seattle Seahawks

SANTA CLARA – Here’s who to start and sit when the 49ers (6-5) visit the Seattle Seahawks (3-8):

START HIM: RB Elijah Mitchell

A 27-carry, five-catch return Sunday proved just how valuable the 49ers think he is, as those 32 touches were the most since Frank Gore’s in 2009 against the Lions. Mitchell will need him to help pick up the slack of Deebo Samuel’s absence. Mitchell, and his cadre of in-synch blockers, will face a Seahawks defense bruised by 43 runs (152 yards) in Monday’s loss at Washington. Even Jeff Wilson Jr. could make some noise as his physical style is best served for a Seattle stage.

Three other nominees: WR Brandon Aiyuk, QB Jimmy Garoppolo, TE George Kittle

SIT HIM: WR Deebo Samuel

Only an injury could take Samuel out of fantasy lineups, and check back here next week to see if Samuel’s groin strain is indeed mild enough to have him return against the Bengals.

Three other nominees: 49ers defense, K Robbie Gould, WR Jauan Jennings
