West Oakland shooting leaves one injured

OAKLAND — A man was injured in a shooting Thursday in a West Oakland neighborhood, authorities said.

Around 6:45 p.m., police received reports of ShotSpotter activity in the city’s Clawson neighborhood. When officers arrived, they found a man in the 3100 block of Linden Street suffering from at least one gunshot wound to a limb.

Paramedics and firefighters also responded to provide care before taking the man to a hospital. His condition was not immediately available Thursday night. Investigators offered no word on motives or suspects in custody.
