San Leandro: Ten injured after vehicle plows into storefront

SAN LEANDRO — Ten people were hurt after a vehicle crashed into the front of a convenience store Sunday, authorities said.

According to a fire district social-media post, Alameda County Fire Department firefighters responded at 4:17 p.m. to a report of a medical emergency in the 300 block of East 14th Street.

When firefighters arrived, they found a Lexus partway into the front of a 7-11 convenience store, 333 E. 14th St., with multiple people suffering from injuries. Six people were eventually treated by paramedics for minor to moderate injuries, firefighters said. The other injured people’s conditions were not immediately available.

San Leandro police were investigating the circumstances that led up to the collision. Check back for updates.
