San Mateo County: Parolee pleads guilty to indecent exposure

HALF MOON BAY – A parolee has pleaded guilty to exposing himself to two girls in Half Moon Bay and Atherton, authorities said.

On March 22, deputies were called to Half Moon Bay High School for a report of a man who had exposed himself to a 13-year-old girl, the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release Tuesday. A similar incident was reported May 24 in Atherton.

Investigations into both incidents pointed to a white newer-model Honda or Toyota sedan as the suspect’s vehicle.

The suspect was eventually identified as Jose Salazar-Camacho, a parolee from Mountain View, the sheriff’s office said. He was arrested during a subsequent visit with his parole agent.

On July 30, Salazar-Camacho pleaded guilty to indecent exposure and annoying or molesting a child under 18, the sheriff’s office said. His sentencing in the cases is pending.
