SAN JOSE — A child was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle while crossing the street Friday afternoon, police say.
The crash happened between 5 and 5:45 p.m. Friday, near the intersection of Camden Avenue and Kooser Road. Police did not disclose the victim’s gender or age.
The driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with authorities, according to a San Jose police news release. Authorities say they will provide updates on the victim’s condition later Friday evening.
It was not immediately known if drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
