Bitcoin, Blockchain, Cryptocurrencies, are all words being used today to help sell what some people think is the next best thing “Digital Currencies!”
But don’t be ,fooled,. (fomo)
None of these are tied to anything. Hold no real value and are just Hyped, Pumped and Marketed for you to join in.
Human nature is to FOLLOW. So if a friend says “he made $30K on Bitcoin”- you want in.
,But, Resist! Bitcoin and other Crypto are not functionable investments (although people treat them as so). They are not assets, hold no real value and will be replaced by real Digital Currencies by Central Banks, Banks and Governments.
The Nerds say:
A cryptocurrency, broadly defined, is virtual or digital money that takes the form of tokens or “coins.” … The “crypto” in cryptocurrencies refers to complicated cryptography that allows for the creation and processing of digital currencies and their transactions across decentralized systems.
They are Clowns! This is not DIGITAL MONEY! This is not a CURRENCY! So the next time you see the word CRYpto (just look at this word). Remember the word “CRY” and that this could be what you end up doing, when you think this is investing.
Don’t’ be the Last Man Standing (or in). Just watch the TV show with Tim Allen and have your laughs this way. Because – after all – Laughing is better than Crying!
Fear of missing out (FOMO) is a social anxiety stemming from the belief that others might be having fun while the person experiencing the anxiety is not present. It is characterized by a desire to stay continually connected with what others are doing. FOMO is also defined as a fear of regret, which may lead to concerns that one might miss an opportunity for social interaction, a novel experience or a profitable investment. It is the fear that deciding not to participate is the wrong choice.
To hype someone up means to deliberately make them very excited about something.
To stimulate, excite, or agitate (usually followed by up).
To create interest in by flamboyant or dramatic methods; promote or publicize.
To intensify (advertising, promotion, or publicity) by ingenious or questionable claims, methods, etc.
To trick; gull, exaggerated publicity; hoopla. An ingenious or questionable claim, method, etc., used in advertising, promotion, or publicity to intensify the effect.
