VAN HORN, Texas — A rollover crash involving a U.S. Border Patrol vehicle shut down a portion of Interstate 10 westbound near Van Horn on Thursday morning.
It happened around mile marker 143, which is about 2 miles east of Van Horn in Culberson County.
Border Patrol officials said the vehicle involved in the crash was being driven by an agent who was transporting detainees.
There were some injuries and the Border Patrol said “medical assistance was requested to the scene,” although officials didn’t elaborate.
The Texas Department of Transportation said traffic was detoured off I-10 to a frontage road while state troopers were on scene investigating the crash.
