CHICAGO – Chicago police are investigating a shooting incident in the city’s South Loop.
Preliminary information revealed that a shooting incident began at Wabash and Harrison. Earlier Sunday, police were inside the lobby of a nearby Travel Lodge.
Scanner traffic indicates shots were fired at some point Sunday evening and police pursued a vehicle to Roosevelt and State.
WGN cameras captured the aftermath of a vehicle pierced with bullets. Multiple windows were shattered by apparent gunfire.
Scanner traffic indicates that a police pursuit may have been followed by a foot chase. WGN believes the person pursued by police is now in custody.
No injuries have been reported.
